Macau Institute for Applied Research in Medicine and Health (MIAR) is a key applied research institute under MUST Foundation, and it serves as the supporting institution for State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (M.U.S.T). MIAR is dedicated to advance the modernization and internationalization of Traditional Chinese medicines (TCM). MIAR provides resources and supports in clinical experiments and scientific research programs to the Faculty of Chinese Medicine and University Hospital. Vision of MIAR: Full utilization of our professional advantages, integrating all resources to build excellent research teams and to become innovative leaders within the respective professional fields. There are two research laboratories under MIAR that pay equal attention to scientific research and professional services: Chinese Medicines and Food Safety Laboratory, and Quality Control Laboratory.
